Introduction

Thank-you for participating in the UL and IWCS China Cable & Connectivity Symposium. For those whose abstracts have been accepted, this page will acquaint you with the submission process for the paper and expedite preparation and publication of the printed and USB versions of the Proceedings for the conference.

Technical authors will also find instructions to help in the presentation of their work at the conference.

Note: Please review the Guidelines for Commercial Content when preparing the presentations.

Finally, important information on Copyright Release and VISA (for international travelers) is provided below.

Preparation of Printable Copy

All Technical Papers are limited to 10 pages. The template for the Conference Proceedings is in Microsoft Word® format and can be Downloaded HERE.

Download the template and follow the contained instructions within the text of the template. The template should provide answers to any questions you have.

Before submitting the final version of your Paper, the Word document must be converted to an Adobe Acrobat PDF file. Name it the same as your Word file, but with the .pdf extension and use only the last three digits of the assigned abstract number. (example067.pdf)

For submitting Presentation-only documents for the Conference Proceedings, please follow the same instructions as above, but use Microsoft PowerPoint® format.  Convert your PowerPoint document to an Adobe Acrobat PDF file, using the 2-slides per page “Handout” style.

Submitting Your PDF File for Printing

For Papers in English, your Paper / Presentation should be submitted by email to Patricia Hudak, phudak@iwcs.org. Questions: +1-717-993-9500

For the email subject line, use: “IWCS China (Assigned Abstract Number): Your Company Name”.

For Papers in Chinese, your Paper / Presentation should be submitted by email to Keith Sin, keith.sin@ul.com. Questions: +852-2276-9532

For the email subject line, use: “IWCS China (Assigned Abstract Number): Your Company Name”.

NOTE: Submissions that do not conform to the IWCS standards and formats will be returned to the author for corrections and/or alterations.

Paper Submission Deadline

All papers / presentations for the Conference must be submitted in an electronic format which conforms to IWCS specifications and must be received no later than April 7, 2017.

NOTE: Authors who cannot meet this deadline should email phudak@iwcs.org immediately and ask for an extension.

Presentation Submission Deadline

All Conference presentations will be in Microsoft® PowerPoint format.  Your PowerPoint Slides / file for your presentation must be received no later than April 14, 2017

Copyright Release Form

IWCS requires your signature on the Copyright Release form. You can download the MS Word Document Here. Please fill out the Word Document, print out for signature and scan back in as a PDF.

The PDF form with the lead author’s signature must be emailed to phudak@iwcs.org by March 31, 2017.

VISA REMINDER - For Presenters from Outside the USA

Please be reminded to check your travel VISA requirements for entering China for the UL and IWCS China Cable & Connectivity Symposium. The time required for processing can take several months so your China VISA should be applied for as early as possible.
